VV’s House is a testament to ingenious design, crafted for a family of three in the vibrant city of Brasília. The project faced a unique challenge: a narrow plot measuring just 9 meters wide by 18 meters deep.
The design strategy extends the residence from one boundary to the other, creating a central courtyard — a bright, sunlit space where the family can gather and enjoy natural light throughout the day. This courtyard also promotes effective cross-ventilation, enhancing comfort across the living areas.
Privacy is skillfully maintained through the use of cobogós — decorative concrete blocks that filter light and create an elegant play of shadows, enriching the spatial experience.
Despite its modest footprint, VV’s House maximizes every inch of the site, offering a contemporary home that not only meets the family’s needs but also contributes thoughtfully to the character of its bustling neighborhood.
